Destiny is one of the best shooters ever made. The game's tight gunplay, exciting set pieces, and beautiful worlds lead to endless hours of exciting gameplay. Your time spent as a Guardian of light who's trying to beat back the Darkness, will not be wasted playing Destiny 2. -

Wolfenstein 2 - The New Colossus
Who can say no to “shootin, stabbin, and strangling Nazis?” As Bj Blazkowitcz put it - Wolfenstein 2 - The New Colossus was a breath of fresh air for gaming because it gave gamers what they wanted. A fast-paced, relentless action shooter that doesn't let up until the final credits. -

Resident Evil 7
Who said over the shoulder cameras were the best for horror? Resident Evil 7 came out and gave shooters a breath of fresh air by showing just how amazing horror gaming can be when you’re getting stalked by the Baker family in the first person. Bonus points if you played in VR. -

Half-Life - Alyx
Half-Life Alyx re-defined shooters by offering a new level of interactivity to the genre. Instead of pushing a button to crouch and avoid damage, you have to physically crouch and avoid gunfire. You can grab bullets out of mid-air and throw them back at your enemies. The entire world is your combat arena to use. So for those reasons, among many, we think you should give this Half-Life another play-through. -

Doom Eternal
Shooters can be too technical and complicated at times. Big action set pieces with lots of moving parts can cause problems, but Doom Eternal keeps things old school. Just you, your chainsaw, and a sh*t load of enemies trying to eat your face off. Shooting demons hasn’t been this fun in years! -

Modern Warfare 2
It's hard to believe it's been 12-years since Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 launched, came out, doesn't it? Even 12-years later its innovations in single-player campaign structure and multiplayer design are standard in the industry today. The gunplay is great, and still stands the test of time, though will new games every year, CoD MM2 doesn't strike as nostalgia, not yet anyway. -

Titanfall 2
Titanfall 2 and its mind-bending time-hopping campaign is a must-play for all you FPS fans out there. Titanfall 2 has great gunplay, gives you the ability to control a mech suit, and offers a fun puzzle design that will have you bouncing back and forth through time. -

Bioshock Infinite
We thought Bioshock would be the only classic shooter of its generation but the follow-up BioShock Infinite came along and gave us the tale of Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth. Unraveling the mystery of Zachary Hale Comstock while killing everyone you can, amounts to, at minimum 15-20 hours of fun. -

Escape from Tarkov
Realism doesn’t typically mean fun. Carrying capacity, reload speed, weapon aiming time, all of those things typically get in the way of gamers having fun, but not in Tarkov. The fun comes in how realistic the game is, the more you know about weapons and actual combat tactics, the more fun you’ll have. -

Overwatch
Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter with a long line-up of popular characters and crazy weapons, that might not get the same recognition many games on this list have received. But since, you get to see your favorite waifu in first-person and shoot people in the head with her, what’s not to love about Overwatch? -

Call of Duty World War II
Call of Duty: WWII revitalized the Call of Duty formula after Black Ops had crashed and burned. The campaign mode is a strong play through and has a heavy focus on multi-player. However, no fps list would be complete without it. -

Left 4 Dead 2
Millions of hours have been spent crowded around TV’s trying to escape from the undead in Left 4 Dead 2. Tight gunplay and great co-op mechanics make it a standout for anyone that wants some zombie slaying action. -

Superhot
Time doesn’t move unless you do in Superhot and that leads to an insane amount of gameplay freedom, especially if you play in VR. You can stand still and plan out your attack strategy for every enemy in the room. Then you sit back and watch it all play out bit by bit while feeling like a true mastermind as you’re the only one left standing. -

Call of Juarez Gunslinger
Gunslinger is a game most people haven’t heard about, let alone played. Wild West games have been beaten to death and while, Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best ever made, Gunslinger gives you a hell of a story with a hilarious narrator and some great combat arenas. If you're a fan of wielding duel pistols, we think you'll find something about this game you can enjoy. -

Metro Exodus
Trying to survive a nuclear holocaust and creepy crawlies trying to eat your face has never been as fun as it is in Metro Exodus. -

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - First released in 1999, Counter-Strike has been THE premier first-person shooter. And now 20-years later, the game and community are as great as ever. We don't need to tell you, but there is something special about a game and (level) you can play for over 20-years and not get tired of. It could only be Counter-Strike.
